Ingredients

  • 2 baby back rib racks
  • 0.5 cups mustard (any kind)
  • 6 tablespoons Killer Hogs rib rub
  • 1 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)

Method

  1. Remove the membrane: Remove the thin membrane from the back of 2 baby back rib racks by sliding a knife underneath and peeling it off.( I recommend a tissue to grasp the membrane)
  2. Apply mustard: Coat both sides of the ribs generously with 0.5 cups mustard (any kind), working it into all the nooks and crevices.
  3. Apply the rub: Generously coat the ribs with 6 tablespoons Killer Hogs rib rub, covering both sides thoroughly. Pat it in so it adheres to the mustard.
  4. First bake (uncovered): Place the ribs uncovered on a baking sheet or in a baking dish. Place in a 285°F oven for 60 minutes
  5. Second bake (covered with foil): Cover the ribs tightly with foil and return to the 285°F oven for 150 minutes
  6. Apply BBQ sauce: Carefully remove the foil the ribs will be extremely tender. Generously slather 1 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite) all over both sides of the ribs. If you're concerned about them falling apart, you can carefully cut them into individual portions first and sauce each piece.
  7. Final bake (uncovered): Place the sauced ribs back in the oven uncovered at 285°F for 30 more minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  8. Finally if you feel like it slather more BBQ sauce on the ribs before serving, but taste test first to determine if it needs it.
